Had a very lazy and enjoyable weekend. Lost a chunk of it to Outrageous Fortune S4. I had grand plans to go the vege market on Sunday and they just didn't happen as I had to finish the DVDs. *flail* Show.

Also, what is it with old fandom renaissances? Later the same day I was checking my flist, read this post by [livejournal.com profile] eolivet and then I spent an hour catching up on J/S clips on YouTube, which was cool (thanks [livejournal.com profile] eolivet), but then this lead me to think about my other main fandom of that period, and then I lost many an hour catching up on all sorts of Grissom/Sara happenings, and looking forward to the next few eps. Weird. I'm not complaining, I just find it interesting how it happens. :)

Two random points:

1. Chocolate covered coffee beans are awesome, but should not be eaten like M&Ms.
2. There should be a small circle of hell for those who beep their horn unnecessarily in the Mt Vic tunnel.

Also, got lots of small things done today, including a call to the landlord to cover all manner of topics. Yay. I feel accomplished.

And a meme, from [livejournal.com profile] tangleofthorns, among others.

1. Put your music player on shuffle
2. The first lines of twenty songs = a poem; the first line of the twenty-first song is the title

I definitely rearranged a few lines, but I didn't skip any non-instrumental songs. Nice cheery title. ;) Thanks, Radiohead. :p

A heart that's full up like a landfill

I said the joker is a wanted man
The boy with the thorn in his side
If it's a true that a rich man leads a sad life
You can't get to heaven in a silver spoon

That's how it starts
sweet seduction in a magazine
Come with me
Lay down
Love rain down on me

So be it I'm your crowbar
Everybody dance now

Fling you out into orbit
I leapt across three or four beds into your arms
My, my, my, my
Passing by you light up my darkest skies

As someone sets light to the first fire of autumn
Bells ring into the night
Tonight I'm tangled in my blanket of clouds
Looking for my place on assembly lines

I don't want to get over you

Ever since I got my Mac (uh, that would be 8 months ago) I've been meaning to get back into vidding, and I've finally finished one of my ideas. \o/

So, um, watch it if you like.

I also put up the one of my earlier vids I'm actually kinda proud of from when I was into CSI and WaT all those fandoms ago. Sam and Sara (Jack/Sam and Grissom/Sara implied) to the "The Tower" by Vienna Teng.

Apple now have the trailers on their site avaliable to download in iPod playable Quicktime format. This makes me ridiculously happy as now I have the rather wonderful PotC2 teaser on my iPod, so I can watch it anywhere. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley prettiness in my pocket. Oh, yes.

--

Something else that makes me very happy? Ocean's Eleven. I'd forgotten quite how much. I had a craving for it last night and oh how I love that poker table scene between Danny and Rusty. I love all the Danny and Rusty interaction but especially that scene. So, so much. Danny/Rusty = <3!

However, using this icon just reminded me of Rusty's haircut in O12. *wince* Why Brad, why?

1. Battlestar Galactica

'You Can't Go Home Again' to 'Six Degrees of Separation' )

2. The West Wing

King Corn )

3. Alien

I now will no longer be plagued by the question, 'You haven't seen Alien/Aliens/Alien 3?!' *

I feel accomplished. They actually weren't too bad.

* a question asked by various male friends. It's apparently quite the offense. Who knew?

4. Veronica Mars

You think I'd know better than to just keep looking for good VMars fic when I'm very spoilerphobic about the finale? Apparently not. Authors are usually very good about spoiler warnings but sometimes ... and there are icons ... and really - you just think I'd know better?

Veronica, Logan, Lily and Duncan why must your screwed up relationships be so addictive?

5. Without A Trace

I caught one WaT ep (Second Sight) after missing a few (7 actually). I'm kind of annoyed I missed those now. The Tricycle (TM - someone at YTDAW) is wooing me back.

Also, Poppy's still a J/S 'shipper. :D

6. History

Life after The Bomb in Kazakhstan.

Cold War history is fascinating.

I love BBC News.

I seem to have relocated my WaT love.

Also, I finally managed to pick up the third Runaways trade and OMG, love. The second series has been good, but I still think there's a little something missing when you compare it to the first run. However, the last issue of the latest run (#7) was pretty damn good. Karolina. :hearts:

My interview went okay but if I go on my gut feeling, I don't think I've got the job. They said it would take about 10 -14 days before they let me know (beaurecratic stuff), so I'm just waiting and not being optimistic enough to stop looking. If nothing else, at least it's given me interview practice.

Coffee with friends tomorrow. Whee!
