Doctor Who: The Poison Sky )

And um, yeah. I bought the iPod Touch. My bank account hates me, but it's so, so, so pretty and you can flick things and I can check e-mail and, yeah. Photos possibly when I get around to uploading some.

Random link: Hilarious Iron Man vs Batman video in the style of Mac vs PC. The bit about the viral marketing is just awesome, as is the end. ;)

I rang the airport and no luck with the iPod. The lady at Air NZ was lovely, but someone has probably pocketed it. I probably should check with the airport in case I dropped it actually in the airport itself. I don't think I did, but best check, just in case.

For the sake of my bank account balance and any hopes I have of saving money to travel, I would like to say that I will not end this weekend with a 32Gig iPod Touch in my possession, however I fear that would be a lie. (I might be secretly kinda excited about this).

Matt Taibbi writes books? This is something I should have known. *adds all to Amazon Wishlist*

Also, these House promo shots are really, really intriguing me. Damn it, I'm not in this fandom anymore but, but ... (and yeah, spoilers ahoy).

It is raining and I have washing on the line. Ah well, seems pointless to rescue it now.

I am going to play with tumblr some more. It's becoming quite addictive checking out other people's ones but I have found all sorts of cool stuff like Songza which is a music search engine and has an awesome interface. Seamless and so pretty, if a little ... orange. *web geeks*

'You Can't Always Get What You Want' by the Stones has been coming up a lot on my iPod recently.

Oh yes, tiny white overlord (tm [livejournal.com profile] musesfool), how right you are.

*sleeps*

The Bad:

I was feeling bleh all day, and not in the 'wow, I should have slept more sense' but in the 'I think I'm getting sick' sense.

My iPod totally froze on me today. I had to wait till the battery died and I'm recharging it now and it seems to be okay but ... meeep. *holds it close*

The news about Richard Hammond which totally knocked me for six this morning. I hope he pulls through (and reading the updated story now, I see he is improving, which is awesome) and I really feel for his family. Gah.

I missed Dr. Who tonight.

I really have no courage to speak of.

The Good:

I had a really nice dinner out at a Mexican restaurant with my aunt, uncle and three cousins I don't see that often. It was pretty awesome and I had half a bottle of wine, which was kinda nice. I don't usually like wine but this was really easy to drink. Mmm. I've drunk so much more since I moved here.

The Harry Reid and Richard Durbin comedy show in the US Senate. Awesome.

Apple now have the trailers on their site avaliable to download in iPod playable Quicktime format. This makes me ridiculously happy as now I have the rather wonderful PotC2 teaser on my iPod, so I can watch it anywhere. Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley prettiness in my pocket. Oh, yes.

Something else that makes me very happy? Ocean's Eleven. I'd forgotten quite how much. I had a craving for it last night and oh how I love that poker table scene between Danny and Rusty. I love all the Danny and Rusty interaction but especially that scene. So, so much. Danny/Rusty = <3!

However, using this icon just reminded me of Rusty's haircut in O12. *wince* Why Brad, why?

I had a very nice night yesterday. My friends had a bbq and there was salmon and beer (thank you, fomer job) and catching up with people I haven't seen in ages. It was a wonderful night actually. Just, low-key and a lot of fun.

Today I got up and walked to my computer and I haven't really left yet. *sheepish look* However, I'm thinking I might go for a walk since the sun is out. I just hope it stays like this for tomorrow as we're supposed to be going for a picnic of sorts but I don't know if I like our chances.

Anyway, I can't see me posting again before tomorrow, so I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, whatever you do (or don't) celebrate. You guys are wonderful. <3

I didn't participate in [livejournal.com profile] yuletide this year, for mostly pretty stupid reasons, but I can't wait for the archive to open. So much good fic. Last year's rocked and I'm sure this year's will be just as good, if not better.

And, just because. I love my iPod.
