My interview went okay but if I go on my gut feeling, I don't think I've got the job. They said it would take about 10 -14 days before they let me know (beaurecratic stuff), so I'm just waiting and not being optimistic enough to stop looking. If nothing else, at least it's given me interview practice.

Coffee with friends tomorrow. Whee!

All in all, it was a solid ep with some nice character moments.

I haven’t really commented on the first two eps of the season because they left me feeling a bit empty really. The cases didn’t really make me feel anything and I was only really watching for the character bits, which were well done and reminded me why I was (I suppose that should be 'am') such a big fan of this show. This ep, I think, was an improvement.

Okay, Jack. Now, I understand he was stressed and everything but what the fuck was that with the missing guy in the airfield shed? Had the guy done anything wrong? No. He didn’t deserve that and to be honest, I’d be looking at him exactly like Danny did. I like Jack, I really do, but damn. That was just a step too far.

Also, I feel like I was being somewhat treacherous in thinking that I was happy that Sam was smiling, even if it was Martin that was making her. Martin/Sam is still in my mind, ‘ew’ but yeah, I don’t know. I even liked the Martin character bits in this ep with the aliens, even if the Mulder and Scully reference felt a bit off.

However, the Jack/Sam moments still had that nice level of tension that makes you believe that what they have is in no way ‘over.’ Sam’s look back at the end. <3

The conversation at the table between Martin, Sam and Jack was quite interesting. Lots of smirks, which is never a bad thing.

That car conversation still rocks. Nice shot, Viv. Yay for continuity and show’s not forgetting what happened the episode before.

Doomed. Oh, so doomed. Poor, Fred. It was a little bit; ‘everybody loves Fred.’ But I think in this case, I can’t really blame them.

Wes and Fred: I was there in the beginning of the ep, I really was. They were cute and then they got too saccharine way too fast but the scene with the book hurt. That was sweet. And in the end, gah. I suppose she’s not really completely gone but then I don’t know if any of her survived when Illyria took over.

Woah. Shit. Wes is a little unhinged. He shot that guy! Kneecapped him even.

Knox was evil? Damn. I liked Knox. Thought I admit, it may have been a little bit me liking him because the actor who played him was also in ‘Firefly.’

Lorne <3

Oh, Gunn, honey. I mean, he didn’t know what he was letting in the country but still. That guilt is going to hurt.

Also, I must admit, Angel and Spike bicker wonderfully. Old married couple. Oh, yes.

Spike’s little speech about the ‘hole in the world’ was also a nice touch.

Yeah, if you hadn’t guessed I’ve fallen for this show just a little bit. I should try and track down the earlier seasons.
