WaT Love: No Longer Missing
Sep. 8th, 2005 02:24 amI seem to have relocated my WaT love.
The plot hooked me from last week and it just continued this week. The little girl at the motel and just, gah. It was a great ep.
Sam's flashback's were a little random (but I suppose the connecting points were that these women were like her mother) but I just love flashbacks of any kind. Mmm, characterization.
Oh, everybody so knows know. Or they're at least suspicious. Hehe. This is going to be fun. When did I take such delight in triangles? It's such a tired plot device. Is it only because I know Martin isn't going to end up with Sam? Quite possibly. Also, in that scene in the interrogation room I was far more worried about Jack with his quiet scary intensity than Martin. I didn't really see the whole - throw the guy against the wall - thing coming.
I'd seen all the J/S scenes before via Sheep's site, but seeing them in context just made it so much better. Their interaction just rocks. Not over. Not at all. ALP and Poppy. <3
She went and recovered the flower. I mean, you could argue that she had to really. But she could have thrown it out? Also, yes, she did give it to the little girl, but still. She went and got it. I don't know why that mattered so much to me, but I was so happy when I saw she'd got it.
Just really felt love for the whole show again. Danny, Vivian ... even Martin, a teensy tiny bit.
Next week: Doppelganger Part II. Argh, going to be at work. Must. Tape. A continuation of one of my favourite eps from S2.
*still bitter about missing 'Lost and Found' *

This show is a total guilty pleasure. I mean, it's certainly not bad but it is quite soap opera-y. I just love how complicated and messy it gets. I like the characters, but for some reason them going through all this just makes me happy. I mean with some obvious exceptions, for example the Chief's brain tumour was not funny. It might be the tone that the show has, I don't know.
When I heard on last week's promo that Shepherd had an ex-wife, I laughed. So hard. I actually quite like Meredith/Shepherd because they're kinda cute (and doomed), but you just knew. There had to be something. At least he apologised.
George and Izzy are still so adorable. Especially Izzy. Even Alex kind of grows on you, and I wonder if he did that all for George because he was feeling guilty.
Even Burke has hidden depths. In his 'relationship' with Cristina, he's actually the more ... emotional one. I'm not sure that's quite what I mean, but I find their interactions interesting.
Oh, dude. The Chief saw them when he woke up! That's brilliant.
Love Bailey.
Still two secrets out there, Cristina's pregnancy and George's crush on Meredith. However, I hope George does stay with the red-haired girl, whose name I have totally forgotten. Do we even know her name? Olivia. Obviously. Duh.
Anyway, loved this episode more than I probably should have, but hey.
Shallow: My friend has always gone on about how hot Katherine Heigl is and I've always replied with, 'yeah, okay.' But I see it now. She is gorgeous.

Also, I finally managed to pick up the third Runaways trade and OMG, love. The second series has been good, but I still think there's a little something missing when you compare it to the first run. However, the last issue of the latest run (#7) was pretty damn good. Karolina. :hearts:
