I haven't updated in a bit but I am lazy and shall resort to, a list!

1. Need to catch up on SGA, but have now gotten through most of Dexter S2. I'm enjoying it, but not as much as last season, and to be honest, I am up to watching the finale, and still haven't watched it. So, eh. Eventually.

2. Daily Show was back this week. \o/ Interviews have been a little lacklustre (yes, even Ricky Gervais, I like his stand-up but I'm not a huge fan of his other stuff), but some of the news bits have been awesome. Jon's "Did she win a contest?" comment tonight was just, <3

3. I have now played Guitar Hero and A++ would play again, even though I think it could be ridiculously addictive.

I can't even think of a random link to share.

When you see this, post a quote from Stargate Atlantis in your journal.

Dr. Rodney McKay: The sticking point is that, ah, there is no tie between the power generator and the primary capacitor.
Dr. Zelenka: Meaning that they would have to channel the power directly into the weapon.
Dr. Rodney McKay: Which I'm sure that means nothing to you.
Maj. John Sheppard: It means they could fire multiple bursts without having to store more power for the next firing sequence.
Dr. Rodney McKay: Yes... very good.
Maj. John Sheppard: Which leads me back to 'cool'!

Smart!John. <3 Also, it's the scene with the adorable duck and smile.

Feeling kinda eh, not really sure why. Have a 'flat meeting' at 7am (yes, really) tomorrow morning. Worried for no reason, because I really doubt it's serious, but I just hope it's not about the lease, because I really don't want to move right now. Not that I adore living here, but just not now. Although now would be preferable to a month from now, when it will be insane. It's so totally about the chores roster or kicking Telecom as our 'net provider (which I would whole heartily support), but I worry all the same.

I've seen the latest SGA, but to be honest, I don't have anything to say about it. I liked it a lot, but just don't have anything to say.

SGA does own my brain in ways that are scary though. I had Lorne in my head this afternoon, and I keep getting vid bunnies. This cannot end well.

I've also started catching up on Dexter, which I'd fallen behind on. Wow. Show, how are you so good? You even made me feel for Doakes.

Eh.

I've spent most of the day laying in the sun reading, napping, or just randomly playing with my computer. This should have been an awesome and relaxing day, but alas, it was not. My brain is stupid.

I will eventually post about my trip to Brisbane, but this is not that post. Evidently.

However, on a quick fannish note, Ocean's Thirteen needs to be out here now, George Clooney and Brad Pitt should do interviews together all the time and the last two Dr Who episodes were awesome.

*toddles off to watch Dexter with chocolate and tea*

I might make a goodbye 2006 post later today. I have no plans for tonight and to be honest, I'm really fine with that. A lot of the people I know in Wellington are away and just, eh, a quiet night will suit me fine.

I've also seen the pilot of 'Dexter', the pilot of 'Studio 60' (finally) and the second ep of 'Heroes' (the first did not want to work for me) that I want to comment on in more detail at some point, but quickly, I liked Dexter the most, Studio 60 was good but not as good as I was hoping, and I think I need to give Heroes a couple more eps but Hiro is adorable and Mohinder is mmm.

And becuse I feel like it, here are some songs I've really been enjoying recently.

I've never been a huge Radiohead fan. I like some of their songs, but I don't own one of their albums, and some of their later stuff got a little too techno for my tastes. However, I have sort of fallen in love with Thom Yorke's new solo album. I love the lyrics and the sound and I keep going back to listen to songs from it. I haven't felt like this about a non-Rolling Stones album for quite a while.

These are the twothree songs I just keep going back to on my iPod:

Thom Yorke - Harrowdown Hill
Thom Yorke - Black Swan
Thom Yorke - Skip Divided

I remember the Regina Spektor squee way back when and never really giving her a chance. Anyway, due to a song of hers appearing in VMars and a friend with some of her songs, I'm really wondering why I didn't. She's adorable and has some great lyrics.

Regina Spektor - Consequence of Sound

I've done a Thea Gilmore pimp post before. She's wonderful. I picked this cover up on an MP3 blog and I really love it.

Thea Gilmore - Ever Fallen in Love? (Buzzcocks Cover)

And I include these because they're hilarous, cute (maybe just the first one) and just a litttle bit geeky.

Animaniacs - Countries of the World
Tom Lehrer - Oedipus Rex

Okay, so maybe a lot geeky. ;)

Look, no Stones! (Though Dear Doctor is hilarious and awesome. *cough*)
