My flatmate who I got on with best moved out today. She's going overseas for a bit then moving in with her boyfriend, which is awesome and I'm sure I'll catch up with her when she's back, but I can't help but be a bit sad about it. Ah well.

However, apart from that, and the fact that I was at work for 4 hours on a Saturday, things are pretty good. There was awesome fangirling last night with [livejournal.com profile] china_shop, [livejournal.com profile] arysteia, [livejournal.com profile] morebliss, [livejournal.com profile] woolly_socks and [livejournal.com profile] the_antichris and there will be watching of David Tennant on Top Gear on Sunday as well!

In further awesome news [livejournal.com profile] mcsmooch is open for two weeks and I'm going to try and contribute and there are pretty pictures of (scruffy and silver templed) Flanigans and Hewletts about.

I will make new icons this weekend and possibly think about some of my vid ideas some more.

I also need to see Shine a Light before its extended season ends.

Feeling kinda eh, not really sure why. Have a 'flat meeting' at 7am (yes, really) tomorrow morning. Worried for no reason, because I really doubt it's serious, but I just hope it's not about the lease, because I really don't want to move right now. Not that I adore living here, but just not now. Although now would be preferable to a month from now, when it will be insane. It's so totally about the chores roster or kicking Telecom as our 'net provider (which I would whole heartily support), but I worry all the same.

I've seen the latest SGA, but to be honest, I don't have anything to say about it. I liked it a lot, but just don't have anything to say.

SGA does own my brain in ways that are scary though. I had Lorne in my head this afternoon, and I keep getting vid bunnies. This cannot end well.

I've also started catching up on Dexter, which I'd fallen behind on. Wow. Show, how are you so good? You even made me feel for Doakes.

Eh.

I moved into my flat exactly one year ago today. I don't know quite how I feel about that, living here has had its great moments and its totally insane ones, but I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Also, I knew my LJ anniversary had passed recently, so I wandered in the direction of the old LJ to check what day it was. On April 1 I had been the proud owner of an LJ for 5 years o.O [livejournal.com profile] siresin from April 2002 through September 2004 and [livejournal.com profile] aworldinside from September 2004 to now. Scary. Also, I always thought I'd changed over later than that. Huh.

However, then I made the mistake of reading posts. Wow, I was angry with myself in 2004. I mean, not that I'm completely content with myself now, but I mentioned it a lot. I also went into a lot more detail about RL. It's strange how things change like that. I've been giving some thought to deleting the old LJ entirely, but now I'm not so sure. It was quite interesting (and frightening) to read back over things, but I understand that there are tools out there to archive your LJ. Hmm. Something to ponder anyway.

In fannish news, while I don't have anything really specific to say about it, Doctor Who pretty much rocked and I'm sloowly catching up on Heroes (just watched 'Run' tonight) and it's taking me a little bit to get back into the swing of it. However, Mohinder is still pretty and Claire is mostly still my favourite.

Going to try and go to bed early tonight. However, reading The Great Shark Hunt by Hunter S Thompson before I go to bed might make for interesting dreams. It's not quite Fear and Loathing (which I haven't read and need to, but I have seen the movie and imagine it's quite the ride) but after reading some this afternoon my brain was going, 'Nixon, Nixon, Nixon, drugs, Nixon, McGovern, Nixon, Nixon.' The book is awesome, and US history and politics for the win, but still, it was a little odd. The fact that I was incredibly tired might have been a factor.
