Merlin: Beauty and the Beast Part 2 )

Yes, I do seem to be watching Merlin regularly. It's on iPlayer, it's too easy! And actually pretty enjoyable. Ridiculous, but enjoyable.

Monopoly Crawl was true to my prediction, eventful. Perhaps a little too eventful, sadly. I had a good time for the most part, but at the end at pub 21 (yes, really, and there were still 5 to go) I headed home with my flatmates as we were all a little over it and my feet were killing me.

Yesterday, there was the Abu Dahbi Grand Prix and junk food, and not a lot else. It was awesome. Awesome last few laps too. Aw, Jenson. <3 I was happy for Sebastian Vettel though, I like him, he's cute. Also, Jenson continued his habit of being damn touch-y and adorable. In the interview with the BBC guys at the end he had his arm around DC in parts, fist bumped/shook each of their hands and kissed Eddie Jordan on the cheek. And this after kissing Jake Humphrey on the neck after Brazil. I don't tend to slash in F1, but damn, Jenson, you're not helping!

I keep thinking of an F1 AU while I'm as into it as I am. Maybe for Gen Kill, but I just don't know if it would work.

First Apple Genius appointment today due to my trackpad button being evil. A little excited actually. I wonder if they can do something about the missing J key (long stupid story), it's all still under AppleCare for another year.

Also, it is sunny outside! London, dude, I continue to be impressed. I am told this is very unseasonal, but still, I approve. However, it is getting dark at 5pm now.

GMail: You're pre-order of "The Resistance" by Muse is ready to be downloaded.
Me: Yay! *runs to iTunes* *clicks prompts*
iTunes 9: You must have Safari 4.0.3 installed to run the iTunes Store ...
Me: Fuck *goes on install Safari 4.0.3* (I was still running the public beta for unknown reasons)
Safari installer: You must have OSX 10.5.7 to install Safari 4.0.3 ...
Me: Fuck.
Software Update: You must have 5.7G free space to update to OSX 10.5.7 ...
Me: *reaches for second HD muttering*

Moral of the story: Don't put off Software Update because you can't be bothered restarting your laptop and moving files to your second hard drive.

*sigh*

Why I am posting this instead of actually running Software Update I do not know.

Also, as a Muse related aside, due to a long tube ride to and from Hampstead and an interesting post at [livejournal.com profile] ontd_muse, I listened to all of "Absolution" and "Black Holes and Revelations" in album order, and while there are some songs I love on BH&R, "Absolution" really is a much tighter, cohesive album experience. It's definitely my favourite. I worry that what I have listened to of "The Resistance" is more like BH&R than A. Ah well. I do like most of the songs I've heard so far.

And also to be fair, I rarely listen to a whole album in order. Usually it's just when I buy a new one for the first few listens. I prefer a more jumbled, haphazard approach to my music. Shuffle is my good, good friend. But after today's "Absolution" experience I might. It really was awesome.

ASkars aside: It's been confirmed he's definitely not going to the Emmys. *sigh* There will however be new True Blood when I wake up, so I guess that's something.

My first day back at work was not wonderful (first days should be relaxing and not involve an avalanche of work that needs to be done now, now, oy) but I came home and there was an empty house, and beer, and salmon on really good bread and then, finally, there was The Daily Show.

Oh, god I've missed this show.

And, and, Rachel Maddow is on it tomorrow! Yes, really. \o/

I don't know how I will deal with that much awesome on my laptop screen at once. There are not enough little hearts in the world.

Also, there may have been Jon Walker related fic bunnies yesterday (probably an unoriginal idea, but it was fun) and I finally, kinda got the Patrick Stump thing via his little Garage Band tutorial here (link via [livejournal.com profile] shirasade). Resistance is futile, clearly.

And he sings in 'Mad as Rabbits' and while Panic's first album sort of annoys me,  the second one is actually enjoyable, in a guilty pleasure sort of way ... *whistles innocently*

This has been a post of Jons. Huh.

And even as an Apple user, this is hilarious. Oh, The Onion. Never stop being awesome.
