I clicked to my flist and all I saw was Dr Who reaction, so I decided to get my thoughts down first and then go read everyone else's.

O.M.F.G

You did good, Rusty. You did fucking brilliantly in fact.

So, yeah, I liked it. Quite a lot. The plot didn't worry me too much (magical dalek destruction button!, k9 just happened to have the base code), because the characters were all too awesome.

OMG THE SCENE WHEN THEY ARE ALL IN THE TARDIS I MAY HAVE TO WATCH THAT A FEW HUNDRED TIMES. IT JUST MADE ME SO HAPPY. *ahem*

Everyone, and I mean everyone, was so awesome in this.

And Donna. Oh, Donna. I knew it wasn't going to be good and well, yeah. The scenes where she was all 'yeah, whatever' to the Doctor hurt, so much. But you saved the universe. The fucking universe. And when she was all half Time Lord, god that was awesome.

I kinda want to write a scene when she gets them back ... just before she dies clearly. Just so she remembered. Once.

Rose gets her own Doctor! Though I get why she wanted the original one, you can't be greedy, honey. I liked that ending for them. Bittersweet, kinda hopeful. "He needs you, that's very me." Meeep. <3

EXTERMINEREN. *dies* Loved it. <3

And go Dalek Caan with his whole realization moment.

I liked Davros calling the Doctor out on his 'weapons' and the flashbacks to all the people dying for him.

Jack: "I can't say what I'm thinking right now." Oh, Jack. I understand, dude, oh I understand. Add in Ianto and well, fuck.

Also? Martha and Jack holding hands ftw!

Catherine Tate and David Tennant rocked those scenes where they had to copy each other's mannerisms. So good.

The scene between the Doctor and Wilf broke me though. Ow. There may have been tears.

Also, the Doctor calling Donna's mum out? Rock the fuck on.

I also watched the Confidential and David mentions the contrast between the TARDIS being full of people and then, not. I did not think of that while watching. Ouch. *sniff* He can still visit Jack, Martha, Sarah-Jane and Mickey though. *nods*

So, um, yeah, I'll just be over here bouncing, and watching that TARDIS scene where they all save the universe. \o/

Edit:

One image that sticks most in my mind after this was Martha, about to destroy the earth to stop the Daleks. Here’s someone the Doctor loves, who he has inspired, and here’s what he’s inspired her to: committing genocide against her own race in order to stop the Daleks. Sound familiar? It’s the worst thing he’s ever done, the thing he hates himself the most for, and he’s inspired his friends into emulating it. It doesn’t matter that it was necessary, that for Martha it’s heroic; for the Doctor it’s like digging open his deepest wound and stabbing a knife into it. He doesn’t even need Davros there telling him what a monster he is; he’s got the image of Martha, Jack, and Sarah Jane, ready to kill and destroy in order to save. Oh, and “himself,” the clone, committing genocide once again. To me, all the rest of what he did in this episode followed from that moment. He sent everyone off to be safe and happy and as far away from him as possible. Because he hates himself and blames himself and he’d rather suffer than see them emulating his own darkest moments.

I did not think of that interpretation, but I like it, a lot. Ow. Doctor. *sniff* He really is the angsty Doctor.

There is heaps I've forgotten, so I'll probably edit as I go.
