Warning: Squee and a rather ridiculous attachment to John Sheppard.
Honestly, FUCK.
It wasn't perfect, but still.
John talked someone into killing themselves for Rodney. There is something just so incredibly awesome yet so wrong about that. John for a while there really was kinda looking like his evil twin from 'Doppelganger.'Oh, John. You just would do anything for your teamand especially Rodney wouldn't you?
And there totally was tears there. Maybe in one take and not in another, because they seemed to disappear and then come back, but there were! Oh, John. And his face when Rodney told him.
He very nearly stole Rodney's episode away with that whole character moment there.
And that end scene. Good Lord. 'I just presented the situation.' Way to rationalise over a morally grey situation there, John. Fuck. (Also, he was a reading a comic *loves*).
Anyway, John Sheppard aside (I admit it, I totally thought I was a Rodney girl, but you know what? If I was to pick sides, and in no way should you have to, and there is no need to, and it would be incredibly close but ... I think I'm a Sheppard girl), the Hewletts were as awesome as I imagined! The bickering and sibling-ness. 'Nancy Drew.' Hehehe. All it was missing was Sam to come by and say how cute they are. (I watched that scene in 'McKay and Mrs Miller' again yesterday. It makes me happy).
'You're no John Sheppard.' *DIES*
And okay, I feel bad for blabbering on about John. Rodney! Kicking doors down (or trying to) and trying to sacrifice yourself. Oh, Rodney. You rock, so hard.
(Random non Rodney and John thought ... the Wraith did complete the coding after being fed really fast. Hmmm. I wonder).
Also, Zelenka for the win. Honestly. Truly. 'Just call her!' 'I'm losing the will to live!.' 'However you want to sell it to yourself.' (Which kinda could be a subitlte for this ep, really).
And Steven Culp! How did I forget? He rocks hard. I've liked him ever since he played RFK in Thirteen Days.
Now, where's the fic with Rodney reading Madison bed-time stories? C'mon fandom, it's been twelve hours! That's practically a life-time. (And if John could somehow be listening in ... yeah, okay, that might have been taking it too far ... but it would be so cute!)
And then you had John playing with Madison at the start!
And I really want a Cookie Mountain.
SGA, what have you done to me? No, don't answer that, I kinda like it.
And now I go off to work. Yes, on a Sunday. Don't ask. I shall at least go with a grin on my face. (Which will probably die when I get to work, but hey, let's be positive!)
