searching for objectivity (Wellington?)
Nov. 17th, 2004 01:14 amWellington was great. Fabulous. Wonderful. I love the city and had a great weekend. Photos will probably be forthcoming once I get motivated to upload them.
However, now I'm home and while Wellington was great, it's given me more to think about which ironically, was what I was trying to avoid. The ongoing joke of the weekend (well perhaps not joke, perhaps reocurring conversation) was me moving to Wellington. It came up everywhere and now I'm thinking about it which should be good, but given my frame of mind at the moment, really isn't. I just don't know what to do.
I'm trying to take one day at a time, but I should know by now that my brain just doesn't work like that. It views the saying 'go with the flow' as something for other people. *sighs*
Anyway, I'm going to go and see a movie tomorrow. I don't really have the money to but I'm going to anyway.
I also have managed to break the bracelet that some of my friends gave me for my 21st. I love that thing. It was never going to be a good day. I should take it to a jeweler and see if they can do anything.
Randomly: I found this quote that I really liked while reading my brother's Hamlet notes:
'What one of us thinks without contradiction and acts without incoherence? What one of us is not mad? What one of us does not say with a mixture of pity, comradeship, admiration, and horror, 'Goodnight Sweet Prince!' - Antaole France.
I don't care how cliche it is, Hamlet is my favourite Shakespeare play and this quote captures one of the reasons why.
Finally: Condi Rice as Secretary of State? *shuddders* That can't be good.
