To be honest, I was wary of this movie because I thought a) they might have glossed over the Alexander loved Hephaestion angle like certain other movie adaptions have glossed over things (*coughtroycough*) and b) Colin Farrell?! However, I think I might make the effort. To be honest, I actually have liked all of the Oliver Stone movies I've seen and if he's actually serious about historical accuracy thing, well it would be a change. However I'm sure at least some of that's spin. (Note to self: Learn more about Alexander before seeing movie.)
Cricket: It's cricket season and the NZ team has returned to its favourtie past time, getting beaten by Australia. Damn, that Aussie score is impressive and Glen McGrath's 50? Just, go him. Also, Adam Gilchrist needed 130 balls for his test 100. Bastard. I really love cricket. It's something my mother has passed down to me. I was just talking over IM with a guy from work about it and it will always have my heart as far as sports go. I am definitely going to one of the Aus-NZ ODIs (whereever I may be living) and probably at least one day of one of the tests. It's going to rock. *cricket-geeks*
And finally, Dork Tower goodness. That's so, so true. Those second hand bookstores are dangerous.
