owlbeer | I love non-linear episodes. So very much.

Disclaimer: I LOVE episodes with a non-linear structure, so I was always going to like this one, and they actually handled the back and forth pretty well and kept me guessing to the end. Well played, H50. That feels weird to type.

Oh, Lori. I will actually miss her, and of course she gets a plot-line and better writing before she leaves. *sigh* (Oh no writers, don't feel you have to mention the fact she's reporting back to the governor between episodes 2.02 and 2.16, it's fine). Her character had a lot of potential and the writers just completely failed to see it. I sort of knew her exit was coming and to be honest ... they did okay. I was expecting something that was going to really annoy me, but that didn't. It's sort of like Martha's ending from Dr Who in a way, she choose to remove herself from the situation, and I love that exit, so ... it wasn't so bad, even if her crush on Steve was the one thing I disliked about her character. (Although,this fic is sort of my personal head canon. Everyone gets crushes on Steve - it's an H50 rite of passage - and then promptly gets over them because he's ridiculous. Except Danny of course, who never get over it, and you know, marries Steve).

I am slightly fearing fandom's reaction to her departure though, which will mostly be of the 'I'm so glad she's gone!!!!' variety. No going into the 'h50' tag on Tumblr for me.

Steve and Catherine <3! Adorable! Feelings! And I want to know back-story. Steve, you're kind of an arrogant jerk, but you do it in such an adorable way. I liked them in S1 but I must admit between this episode and 2.04 I full on adore them. They've developed all these ... feelings. They fly to the other side of the world for each other at the drop of a hat!

'Topper' make me choke. Seriously, Danny?! I liked this episode a lot even thought it was light on Danny and Steve, but that topper reference was quite special. The banter-y scene was cute and I love that Lori outbid them, and Catherine and Danny should hassle Steve together forever and ever.

Danny however will die of a heart-attack that Steve is the cause of. Throwing himself off buildings! Danny worries, Steven! The look on his face. Oh, Danny.

I love that Steve took off this bow-tie as soon as he started working and to quote from my episode .txt file, "YOU CAN'T JUST WALK AROUND WITH THE TIE UNDONE LIKE THAT - FUCK YOU STEVE." *cough* He's really pretty.

Chin looked good in the waistcoat as well, and Max's waistcoat and tie were cute too ... in fact, they all looked awesome.

Were there no actors with Russian accents available?

Yeah, I liked this quite a bit.

The thought of an H50 'American President' AU also crossed my mind today. IDEK.

I didn't get around to posting about the latest episode of Fringe but suffice to say I pretty much adored every second of it. <3

I meant to be productive tonight and barring cooking myself a quite nice vege curry, I've completely failed. I need to rewrite my CV and look for jobs - my contract expires at the end of March - and ugh adult-ness.

... oh look at episode of Babylon 5 I am half the way through.
