Yeah, overall this one didn’t do a lot for me. There were good bits, but it did also drag a bit in places and I had some Joe White issues.
- So Joe gets honourably discharged? How did he get found out? They talked to Steve but nothing happened to him? Right. Okay. I guess he’s mostly a private citizen. I guess.
- They seemed to emphasise Steve’s rank quite a bit though - there were a few mentions of Lt Cmdr McGarrett this and Lt Cmdr McGarrett that.
- I re-watched the end again and while initially it did look like Joe is betraying Steve, I think he might be playing both sides. I’m not sure. I still think this plot is being clumsily done though. Really clumsily done, and this is from someone who likes the Steve revenge plots.
- Joe’s days are numbered though. Steve is totally losing a father figure one way or another. How surprising.
- Lori bugged me too. I like her fine most of the time and she was adorable with Max in 2.09 - but in this episode she just bugged me. It had a bit to do with Steve, I admit. Do not want.
- No follow-up on Jenna or you know, Steve getting tortured with a cattle prod.
- Random observation: The teacher’s hug with Steve went on for a looong time.
- Steve and Danny: still living together. (Yep in my mind they are until the show tells me otherwise).
- Steve smiles, Steve the bus driver, tie mentions, quite a bit of Kono, bicep caresses = <3
I was thinking I'd catch up on The Good Wife soon (last ep I've seen: 3.01 - oops) but then I remembered there was new Homeland, and I have Breaking Bad from my friend, and ... the list goes on.
This pretty awesome mash-up of 2011 movies made me realise I haven't seen that many movies this year. I might try and see either Submarine or Beginners - probably the latter, the plot looks interesting and Melanie Laurent is in it. I loved her so much in Inglorious Basterds. <3
