Feeling a little better. Cold and flu drugs are good.
Just watched the pilot of
Ever since I read the basic plot I've been intrigued, so I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go.
And? I was impressed overall. A few of the plotlines I saw coming and the crown of butterflies at the end was too much, but these were minor.
Ian McShane rocks. Silas is interesting, and not quite as unlikeable as I initially thought. He is going down though, oh yes.
David was adorable like a puppy. I liked him with Michelle, but I think that could get annoying in the long run. Michelle on her own was pretty awesome though. As was the Queen. Interesting.
Him with Reverend Samuels on the other hand. OMG. Was that supposed to be that slashy? Because, dude. Was the dirt rubbing off his face (seriously, this happened) supposed to be a blessing of some kind ... I don't know.
Also, Reverend Samuels is insanely hot. Mmm. He should be on always.
Oh, Jack. I liked you, kid, but then with the bit at the end with Dude Who Will Always Be Robert McNamara To Me, I don't know. I figure you will end up back to your Dad in the end though, or betraying Not!Robert McNamara.
Edit: Fuck, I knew I knew the guy who played David Sheppard from somewhere and after some IMDB-ing, it's Home and Away (Aussie soap opera for those unaware). Fuck. He was actually good! He's the next Jesse Spencer apparently. ;)
Anyway, enjoyed it, a lot, will defintely watch again.
And on the subject of other non-BSG television, I am two eps into Generation Kill and it's awesome.
