owlbeerIt's really been an awesome weekend. Watched DVDs Friday and Saturday night (Silence of the Lambs, 24 Hour Party People, Breach, Junebug - in order of preference from awesome to good, but not great), accompanied by a vegetarian feast on Saturday, and now going for a Sunday roast tonight.
And to keep with the food theme, I said I'd bring dessert tonight, and I decided to have a go at the recipie![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
labellementeuse posted aages ago and I saved in my memories. Cookies and cream cupcakes! And, they turned out really well! I hardly have mad baking skillz, but these might be the best thing I've baked. There are photos here. (I am growing quite fond of the macro setting on my camera). My icing skills could use some work though.
Should have done OE planning, but um, yes, this week, definitely. *nods*
I have read comments that this ep was a little lackluster, but I loved it, especially the Kara storyline but I also have a lot of love for Chief/Boomer ... argh.
Anyway, first Kara. Awesome reveal at the end. Very nice, in fact. I didn't see it coming to be honest, though I did see Hera's drawing being musical notes.
Her Dad was totally the Cylon that was boxed. First hybrid? Or something more complicated?
As for the other storyline .... fuck you, Boomer! Seriously. I mean, nicely played, but ... fuck.
Oh, Chief, honey. This isn't going to be good. I so wanted that to work out! Grr. Stupid Boomer.
Laura one the ground, Galactica going down ... oh dear.

I also have got my little hands on the first couple discs of The Wire S1. I've watched 3 eps and I'm really enjoying it so far.
