blah blah love this show blah blah so much
May. 1st, 2007 09:23 pmThis is how you plot a TV show. I really am more than a little in love with the writers. Especially after reading comments like this in
Reading other people's reactions, I seem to be in the definite minority when I say that I actually think I liked last week's ep a little better. Not that this one wasn't fucking awesome, because it was, but overall, I was more asquee last week. It might just need another viewing. Oh, damn. Life is hard. ;)
Hiro and Ando's friendship remains just the most wonderful thing. That Hiro actually found the right place in time because Ando believed in him is just so precious. Awww. And that Future!Hiro went all dark and angsty when Ando died as well.
However, it did strike me upon watching the first bit again that Hiro did all of this thinking Sylar was the bomb, when ... he really wasn't. (Yeah, definitely another viewing. I freely admit that time travel AUs have a tendency to confuse me).
I don't think my brain has processed that Matt actually shot Mr Bennet in that scene. I might just choose to believe it didn't happen. It's happier for me that way.
Mohinder in glasses, unshaven and walking around in suits. There is no bad there. Also, I'm glad he somewhat grew a spine and brain there. However, his conversations with Nathan!Sylar, especially the one's where Nathan!Sylar was all 'I need to know you're with me Mohinder' were just creepy, and I'm really understanding where the Mohinder/Sylar 'shippers (Mylar? *shudders*) are coming from. Not prepared to hunt out fic, but I see where it comes from. My flatmate has a theory that Sylar was using Aden's power to control him, which is interesting, I think. Not quite sure I buy it though.
Everyone seems to be beside themselves about Future!Peter and while he rocked that coat, and him preparing to smack down the guards with Hiro and then having the glow-y hand fight with Sylar was awesome, I still didn't feel the all-consuming love for him. (Also, some of Milo's line deliveries did jar me a little).
Nathan! Dead! No! I did not see the Sylar reveal coming, at all. And the thing is, I really did buy Nathan as that much of a bastard right up to the way creepy scene with Claire. I raised my eyebrow a little at the the scenes with Mohinder, but hey, it's been five years.
As a side point, Adrian Pasdar is all sorts of wonderful.
I really am curious what happened to Mama Petrelli in this timeline and what Lindermann is up to.
And wow, it's taken me this long to talk about Claire, although it admittedly wasn't a heavy Claire episode. Hayden rocked the brown hair and like I said above, wow that scene with Nathan!Sylar was creepy. I really didn't trust that fiancé of her's though.
Wow, I had quite a bit to say, but in conclusion, LOVE THIS SHOW.

Oh, one final thing. That string thing was pretty cool and how when Mohinder (?) cut it, it all fell apart. Was 'String Theory' the original title for this ep? I read it somewhere. I think it would have been a better title personally, but that's just me.
Also, while I'm talking Heroes, the blog TV Squad had the cutest interview with Masi Oka today. It's here. (Possible minor spoilers for future episodes). So cute!
