anthropomorphic is a really good word
Nov. 8th, 2007 11:45 pmI must admit when I watched this
Maybe it was the fact that I wasn't that surprised by the big reveal at the end. Although, modern day evil visionary pseudo!Sark? I approve. Oh yes.
Anyway, Hiro returns from Feudal Japan! Finally! That storyline was far too long. (And I see in the EW article that is going around Tim Kring said as much). And that reunion scene with Ando was the highlight of the entire episode for me. So cute.
I am also very in favour of Nathan's increasingly crazy hair. Mmmm. Yes, I am. Also that whole dark smouldering thing he has going on. I approve of Nathan in general, really, as if that wasn't clear.
Peter's storyline was also cool this week. First time I've said that this season, even though Peter's never really been my boy. Leaving Caitlin behind (although I do hope they do something with her sub-plot in the future), the virus backstory and then the Mama Petrelli memories all made for a good few scenes.
One thing that does kinda irk me though. Okay, so big, 93% of the world ending virus (or the Not Legacy Virus as I think
I almost thought Nathan got stabbed with it and I was all 'Oh, hell no!' but I was pleased to see it was just Nikki. :p
Matt was full of love this week. Definitely gets the award for Most Improved Hero.
Claire used to be my favourite character. Now? Not so much. I blame West. Hate.
Also, I do still love Mohinder, but he is fast becoming the Lee Adama of this show, because wow, the writers seem to not know what they're doing with him. Or they do ... but they're going about it a really haphazard sort of way.
And this is incredibly random, but I've been meaning to say this for weeks. Daniel Craig was pretty cool in Casino Royale, but in Layer Cake? OMG! Love! Good movie too.
I also watched three hours of David Lynch (aka Inland Empire) last night. That was a nice bit of mind-fuckery. Not in a bad way though. Him and Richard Kelley need to get together and talk about their issues with anthropomorphic bunnies.
This song has a really fun title.
SGA Obsession Update: I am now actively hunting down fic. Oh, SGA. *shakes fist* Also,'Tabula Rasa' was a very cool ep and Jewel Staite is love. I might have deeper thoughts later, but then, maybe not. I might just resort to 'wow, Rachel Luttrell, Jewel Staite, Amanda Tapping and Joe Flanigan are pretty and awesome' and squeaking noises whenever Rodney and Zelenka are on screen.
