I love the BBC News website. Love it. I'm watching the Bush/Kerry debate!

I missed the very start and it seems a lot of the Iraq stuff which I'm kinda grateful for because I doubt there was a lot new.

I was a little worried when I started watching because Kerry wasn't making his points clear and Bush was making his a litle too clear. He (Bush) is actually doing quite well but those pauses are scaring me.

Moolahs? OMG. Mullahs. His pronounciation is just... eep and damn, I haven't listened out for nuclear, or 'nucular.'

And I'm not saying I'd do any better here, but then I'm not the President of the United States and seeking re-election.

Nice shot with Kerry about the '30 counties had a higher capability of making weapons.'

Kerry doesn't want multiparty talks re:North Korea? Hmm, that might come across as inconsistent and he felt that, that's why he went back to it.

Darfur? Oooh, nice shot, moderator. They both used the word 'genocide' too... that could be interesting.

Character questions? Ooh, that is a loaded damn question.

Won't hold it against him that he went to Yale? Um, George,I might be wrong, but so did you. Was I just misunderstanding him there?

Nuclear proliferation? Wow. It's a nice answer but I wasn't expecting it. I totally agree with him though. Maybe not the biggest threat but it is a big threat Bush has done shit all about. However, Bush did twist it quite nicely towards terrorism.

Missile Defence! Fuck you, that doesn't work. It's just the stupidest idea. It protects against from skybourne missiles, which aren't a serious threat. (Sorry, I wrote an essay on this and still feel strongly about it, for some reason.)

Ooh, Putin. Vladimar? Vladimir.

They keep going back to North Korea, that's interesting but the Saddam Hussein thing was weird, but damn, Kerry is summing up nicely at the end of that.

Final Statements:
Kerry: Not bad, not bad at all.
Bush: He just mention the 'broader middle east' didn't he? Okay... yeah.

To be honest, Bush hasn't done that badly. I don't know if I'd say either of them have really won. I don't know if it's going to actually change anyone's mind. Kerry is still, yeah, I'm just not sure.

Is that John McCain? Am I just seeing things because it's blurry?

There was an audience there? Totally didn't seem like it.

ETA: Hmm, it seems from what I'm reading I missed a lot by not seeing the debate clearly. By the sound of it Bush was a little ...petulant. :p And most pundits have called it for Kerry, which I'm definitely not complaining about. Still, will it change anyone's mind?

ETA 2: If the US networks' undecided voted panels are anything to go buy ... um, yes this debate might change people's minds.

Um, that was fun.
