owlbeerI got home at around 2am after having a drink after work. I gave absolutely no thought to going to bed.
*tries to pick jaw up off the floor *
Wow. Wow. Wow.
That was very impressive. I think the best ep of the season. I might have to see how it holds up minus suspense but I think it will hold up very well. Very well indeed.
Veronica! Logan! Duncan! (Yes, even Duncan). Keith! (Is her father! Hell yes. Though I was spoiled for that.)
Aaron … I didn’t see it coming, at all. All the spoilers I thought I might have glanced at pointed at Duncan or Jake. Aaron ... just, wow. Harry Hamlin played him damn well and wow did he have a couple of screws loose. I was biting my nails at the end. He set her on fire. Woah. Just, woah.
Logan and Veronica on the beach was a fantastic scene. Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring were just wonderful. In fact, they were great for the whole ep because, Veronica! Logan! (I’m doing that a lot. Not likely to stop soon).
Veronica, I love you. A ridiculous amount. If I was to do a Top Ten Favourite TV Characters, you would probably top it, or give Toby a real hard run for his money. She just totally rocked this ep. The strength and the pain and the heart-break. Just, wonderful.
Hi, I’m Logan. My mother killed herself by throwing herself off a bridge. The very same bridge that I find myself drunkenly standing on at the end of this episode surrounded by a biker gang, the leader of which thinks I killed the girl he was in love with, who happened to be the girl I was in love with, who happened to be also sleeping with my father, who killed her and attempted to kill my current (?) girlfriend and her father. My current (?) girlfriend being the person who accused me of murder, just today. Life couldn’t be better.
I believe the words ‘he has issues’ are really just a little redundant when referring to Logan. Jason Dohring absolutely rocked though and Logan is just such a fascinating character. What will become of him could be very, very interesting.
Duncan … you’re really not too bad. I actually really liked him in this ep and I liked his interaction with Veronica. I could see how they could work together. Not sure it would be too healthy though … but at least not incestuous.
The reveals just rocked. Weevil appearing behind the door and Aaron in the rear view mirror. *shudders *
After this ep and last week’s, I must admit I have a small soft spot for Beaver.
Loved the scene at the end between Veronica and Lilly, it was gorgeous and I loved that we got a full-length flashback of the murder.
Alicia and Keith were so cute at the end.
But, Lianne! She took the check! She took it! How could she even cash it? Was it written out for cash? But she took the check! Gah! So many exclamation points. The scene between her and Veronica was heart-breaking though. *sniff *
Who’s behind the door?! Wallace? I’m saying that’s where the safe money is. Logan could be down from that bridge but really, I can’t see him being in all that sane a state really … ever. And bearing in mind this in sane for Logan. So, my guess is Wallace.
‘ship thoughts … eh. Really somewhat secondary at the moment. Still loving the Veronica/Logan though. Their future is somewhat … interesting. The trust issues alone are a little staggering and now with Duncan and Veronica’s happy interaction and Logan’s … well, I doubt he’ll react too well to all this really. However, he has proven to be remarkably resilient and ... where does he have to turn now? Oy. Interesting, very interesting.
However, they left him on the bridge! I thought we might get some resolution, but not so much. I want to know who’s behind that door, but Logan’s on that bridge!
So … anyway. I quite enjoyed it. ;)
Edit: Just read Couch Baron's re-cap and one thing I didn't consider. Logan next year ... his father killed Lilly. Veronica was shunned just because her father accused someone else of killing Lilly but then it's not like Logan is going to really stick by Aaron. I would think. Interesting. Also, Jake's revenge ... also very interesting.
