I've now watched all of S1 of House.

After I've watched things like the Vogler arc in the right order I might put together some more meaningful thoughts, but now I'm just going to ramble about the season finale.

Um, I really, really liked it. I know lots of people were disappointed about the ending being changed but I don't think the episode suffered too much because of it. I did love the ending that was cut, and yeah the pill slo-mo was a little overdone, but I think the bit they kept with him trying to walk without his cane and 'You Can't Akways Get What You Want' (need a mp3 of that) in the background did work quite well.

Stacy rocks. I take back anything negative I may have said about Sela Ward. She's damn good and her and Hugh Laurie worked really well together. I really bought how much they felt for one another. Gah, did I ever. While I think there is little to no chance they are ever going to get back together, I think I could deal with it if they did, but it is never going to happen. Far too many issues and far too much baggage now.

Loved the Ducklings standing in front of House like that. <3

I also loved that House called them in the middle of the night and they all showed up all rumpled but still so pretty.

Leaving the cookies for the 'House Boys.' <3

Two complaints:

1. Not enough Wilson. Two tiny scenes! I need some Stacy and Wilson interaction. Need it, precious. I wonder if he's avoiding her? In fact, he probably is. However, him being mentioned in the conversation between Stacy and House was quite cool. 'He and he got me the bear.' 'Figures.' :D

However, that scene in the bar. House actually ... opened up, kind of. He spoke about how he felt. Wow. I also loved the line there about him not knowing if he wanted her to suffer or wanted her back. Gah. House. <3

2. Cameon and House scene. *stabs* Just, let it go, Cameron. Please? I don't hate you, but I am definitely starting to dislike you. I don't know if House feels anything for you for sure but just, some breathing space for the man?

In summation:

I love this show. Love it. I love its complicated characters. I love Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard and and all the other actors as well and I absolutely can't wait for next season.

Random thought:

Is it just me who wants Julie to actually be in an ep next season? I just want to know how the writers see her and how close fandom's rather numerous perceptions of her are.

Also, I passed my learner's test just fine. :)
