Somewhere along the way I raised the expectations bar on this episode and I really should have known better. *sigh* ‘Shock McGarret’s to his core’ seriously?! Steve looked quite un-shocked. Should not have believed the press release.
- I don’t know whether to buy the Shelburne thing or not, because seriously that’s it?! Everyone’s seeking revenge for their Dad’s death?! That better not be it. Unless they decided to dump the story-line because it wasn’t working - and oh boy wasn’t it. I almost liked Joe at the start but I am not sorry to see him go.
- Flashback! I was hoping for more, but it was still interesting. Steve got sent way to military school. Dude. Mary got to live with relatives but no, Steve it’s military boarding school for you. Poor kid. I thought the actor playing Young!Steve did pretty well.
Also, he broke all those football records in his freshman year?Totally missed he said he was starting junior year. - Danny! All the hearts <3! Sometimes he is just such a good guy.
- Steve checking in! And his update! And the end when they were looking at babies! And his fond looks, such fond looks OMG Alex! The episode was not all bad.
- Steve losing it trying to talk to Sang Min was also awesome. There were some good Steve!smiles.
- Lori was snarky - I liked it. Also liked her look when Steve explained the Sang Min thing. Yes, honey, you do work with these people. I know.
- The less said about the 2.5 minute Subway commercial the better. I am okay with product placement but holy shit, that was something else altogether.
Yesterday was Sherlock and The Good Wife. I liked the episode (yes only liked, I am totally suffering from Moffat Fatigue), but I adored Martin Freeman. The Good Wife was a fun episode, but I am very interested to see how the long-game plays out.
Today was a work-day that needed beer afterwards. *sigh* People.
