I think my life can basically be summed up by two words at the moment, books and walks. That's honestly all I've really been doing. Reading and going for walks. I should be looking for a job, but I'm not, not really anyway. I'm looking, circling a few and then never taking the next step. I put that down to lazines and that I don't actually need another job. Want, sure, but not need. I have a job already (which is just starting to pick up again) and I'm living at home for free. I don't have rent and bills to pay. So at the moment, I read and walk, and drive myself crazy wtih indecision. It's odd having things so open. Everyone is going back to Uni or school or something and I've got nothing. I think the year off really is the right decision, I just don't have the confidence in myself academicaly to tackle the next step and there are things I need to think about, but it's still a little frigtening. However, the reading I've been getting done has been fantastic. Mmm, books, how I've missed you.

Managed to catch my second full episode of Firefly tonight and to my glee, it's only the third ep in the rather screwed up order television stations seem to play this show. I've heard lots of good things but I thought last week's was just okay. However, I really enjoyed tonight's episode.

Also caught Arrested Development. I've never been big on TV comedies, I've watched but have never really grown to be a big fan, (Friends being an exception, when it was good) but I am really enjoying this show at the moment. Jason Bateman I am so happy you won a Golden Globe.

Talking of awards, caught the Oscar nominations live on Fox News (shush, it was the only way I was going to get to see them live and I have a sick pleasure in seeing propoganda at work). A couple of surprises and bearing in mind I have seen none of the major nominated movies, I was happy to see Don Cheadle get nomiated. ( I've been a fan of his since, I'm not quite sure when, at least since I was a semi-regular at the TWoP Off Topic Boards. I really have to remember how these small obsessions start.) I was also surprised, but not unhappy, to see The Incredibles screenplay get a nod. That, I would suggest is a pretty big deal for an animated movie, unless I'm missing something. Also, now checking the full list, Lemony Snicket got a nod for Art Direction and Score, which I am happy to see and PoA got a nod for Score (John Williams's 43rd nom, that is insane), which was a category that had no Howard Shore. I don't actually know if the Avaitor score was fantastic, but I shall forever be a Howard Shore fangirl.

Anyway, I think it's time for bed, How the hell is it 4am already? I was going to try and be productive. We'll see how that goes.
