Well, that was ... something. Jesus. This show.

Bam, bam, bam the world is ending. So much happened but they still managed to do these amazing emotional moments as well, which were awesome. From Peter and Olivia's snuggling, to the goodbye scene in the lab which just killed me (the looks on their faces, my god), to Broyles and Walter's little moment, to Peter and Astrid's adorable hug .... god, the cast was on in this ep. And that's not even mentioning the Peter and Walter moments.

Special mention for Jasika Nicole in the Peter vs The Machine thing. She looked so worried, and so scared for him. Nicely done. Jasika <3

Did not see the Peter!coma thing coming. *frets* Although it was pretty hilarious that there was this biiigg lead up with the emotional music and then, bang zap, Peter flies across the room. No big hero moment for you at this time, dude. I'm not anti hero!Peter exactly, but really, he should leave Olivia to be the Big Damn Hero.

And please can someone get John Noble an Emmy. Please? That scene in the chapel was amazing. A little "Two Cathedrals" -esque in a way, although clearly not so angry. I almost expected him to break out the Latin.

I must admit to being a little pissed that the darling Mr Bishop didn't tell Olivia before he went to touch the machine. However, I guess it's because if there was one person that was going to give him second thoughts about it, it would be her, and to be honest it was followed by a lovely little "tell her ..." moment with Astrid. (Which I think is probably why the writers chose to have him not call her). But still ... little bit miffed. She was going to call you when she got to New York, but you weren't going to call her when you potentially sacrificed yourself in a doomsday machine?! I ... might be too close to this.

This episode was so bam, bam, bam I completely didn't realise till the end that the whole 'oh he's the dude that's going to kill me' moment wasn't addressed at all. I'm imagining a little time passed as they were in Olivia's apartment and the cute snuggly moment was at Chez Bishop, but still, odd.

Clearly not getting that shapeshifter conversation either, which is interesting. I get the show has bigger things on its plate, but its a nagging thread. Weaponized Peter in general is a bit of a nagging thread. Hmm.

Also I am saying this and meaning it this time: no sneak peaks, no spoilers, no ... anything (unless it's a Josh interview because then well, my resolve will crumble). I just don't want to know. I think I may have pieced parts of the finale together due to obsessive interview reading (I stress think, because I so do not want to be right on this one), and that's driving me insane. This will be aided by 4 days in Amsterdam, but it does also mean I'm not going to see "The Last Sam Weiss" till late Sunday night at the very earliest. :(

Superficial moment: Josh suits a lot of things (that grey-ish shirt for example guh), a turtleneck is not one of those things. Oy. It kept distracting me - not in a good way.

2. I thought Community was awesome - but maybe not quite as awesome as a lot of people seemed to - but it was very well done and a huge improvement on the previous week's really-not-at-all-funny episode.

Okay, you know what, I outright sort of loved River in this episode. I wasn't sold at first when she appeared in the Library episodes with Ten, and then sort of liked her as her appearances have increased with Eleven, but in this episode she was awesome. May have been helped by her having better dialogue that an overabundance of 'spoiler's and 'sweetie's, and the story of how as she moves forward the Dr remembers less of her was heart-breaking and well delivered by Alex Kingston. I wouldn't say I'm an outright Dr/River 'shipper, but now, I sort of buy it and have no problem with it.

I don't have a hell of a lot more to say to be honest. I liked it, quite a lot. Nixon is a little eh, but I do like Mark Sheppard.

"Stalker." "Flirt." "Husband." - oh Rory. <3

Oh wait, those flesh things are fucking scary! I mean, I'm not hiding from the screen exactly but I am at the very least quite unsettled. Eeep.

Waiting to see how all these bombshells work their way out.

I'm also such a sucker for a Viking funeral, or a pyre in general. I don't know why. I just love the visual. Love the bit in the Illiad where Achilles and Patroclus are on the same pyre too. Yes, random.

4. Enjoyed Game of Thrones a hell of a lot. Have the next ep now and I'm tempted but I really should actually do things I've been meaning to get done all weekend ...

5. And a movie

By the end it wasn't actually that bad, and the opening bit was interesting (hi Kristen Bell ... bye Kristen Bell) but the middle was dire, it wasn't that scary at all, and the body count was ridiculous. I'm actually glad I saw it in the end though. Oddly.

Saying that:

Actors who I think can hold their heads high (well, sort of) after their performances in Scream 4: Hayden Panettiere, Alison Brie, Emma Roberts (at the end - I was shocked, but she really wasn't that bad) and maybe Ryan Culkin and Neve Campbell. Maybe.

No one else. David Arquette was especially painful.

Right, now, those things I meant to do. To be fair I have done a little bit this weekend - and went to Bath which had gorgeous weather and is pretty and the Roman Baths are seriously worth going to - but yesterday I did spend a few hours sitting in Clapham Common with some beer and some friends because the weather has been insanely good this weekend.

Berlin tickets must be booked today or tomorrow. Must be.

I need new icons like woah.

Yessssssssssssssss! :') The snuggling really got to me, for some reason.

Ahahahaha, IKR? I'm impressed that they didn't take this into a hero!Peter direction, and I say this as someone who loves Peter.
