Fringe is back! <3

So, I may have gotten out of bed at 3pm after catching up on all sorts of TV. *happy sigh*
SHOOOW! *cough* Hi, uh, good to have you back.
That was pretty awesome. I was expecting a little more crash bang explosions to be honest, but I really liked what we got. Anna Torv was rocking the scenes with her Mum and Henry. Also, the difference between Olivia and Alt!Olivia was really easy to see. Way to act, Anna.
Andre Royo was all sorts of awesome. I would happy to see him back. And I loved how he hung around to see if Olivia was okay.
Did not see the Alt!Olivia memories thing. Nice twist, show. Very nice. Oh poor Olivia. I really want to know Walternate feels that is necessary though.
Also, Alt!Brandon. Slightly evil. I like it.
Flights to the moon!
Star Wars is in every universe! As it should be.
The actor playing Frank reminds me quite a lot of Nathan Filion, just saying.
Charlie <3
Was the blue flash to indicate the change between universes? If so, nice. Those airships disappear? That's awesome.
You lied, Joshua! You were in this episode! In a very nice suit too. Mmm.
Was the pen meant to be another indication of Magical!Peter? It was an interesting moment.
It was interesting he was asked why he came back. Because if I'm being honest, him staying over there would have made more sense. Yes, yes, Olivia, I know.
As for the kiss ... oh, it was cute, I admit it. It looks like Peter made up his mind about the whole thing after seeming quite unsure in Over There Part 2, which is understandable I guess. He has liked her for quite a while. I'm not hating on the Peter/Olivia. Really. I'm just unsure. But when it all comes out ... oh it will not. end. well, I think. They're both going to be quite fucked up after this, especially given what is happening to Olivia on the other side. Because that's really what they both need. ;)
I am still slightly concerned about Peter and not realising. I would love if he figures it out along the way and doesn't let on. I just don't want him (and in this case his apparent out of character stupidity, though you could argue he just doesn't want to see it) to be used as a plot device again.
We will wait and see though. I should have more faith in the writers, because on the whole they do a pretty damn good job. My negative thoughts pale in comparison next to the rest of them. You're awesome, show. <3
Also, I had to go and buy Oreos after watching this. Damn you, Walter. ;)
Cannot wait for next week.
The first ep was a little eh but I did really enjoy the second. That scene between Chuck and Blair was fairly epic. As was Blair's dress, dude.
It was also nice to see Serena being sort of competent in the second ep too when she was looking or Chuck. I did almost feel for her at the end as well. Surprise! Things have gone down. Seriously. I do quite like that they chose for her though. Probably best for all concerned at the moment, and despite my indifferent attitude towards Vanessa, I quite like her with Dan.
Dan and Nate need to remain friends. I was worried for a bit there. I could almost 'ship them, I really could ...
As for the new girls? Chuck's French girl is very cute and sweet. Juliet I liked at first but I'm not so sure now. I do want to know her agenda though. It seems that she's against Serena? Hmm.
Nate's hair: Thumbs up. And there were aviators. I was happy. I really don't ask a lot from Chace Crawford, it's true.
I just realised Jenny was missing. It needs to stay that way. For the rest of the show.
You could really subtitle this show: Gossip Girl - pretty people make poor life choices. And don't really learn from them. Ever.
Also, while I'm here, I did end up watching One Week (Candian indie road-trip movie about a guy who finds out he has terminal cancer, which Josh won a Genie for) at an ill-advised time earlier in the week:
I expected to like it more to be honest.
Josh was good. Very good in fact. His performance was definitely the high-point. My issues are more with the movie as a whole.
It sort of seemed to try for quirky and ... not quite get there. Add that to the fact that while I liked the small twist on the narrator at the end, for the most part, he was annoying. Really annoying. The movie was so much better when he wasn't speaking and the actors had a chance to put the material across. I'd be interested to know if that was originally in the script or they added it. Hmm.
I also liked that they didn't sugar-coat the ending.
Canada is gorgeous though. Dude. And the soundtrack was awesome. I need to look up which songs featured.
Should be doing productive things. Chances of that happening? Slim.
