Amazon epic fail

Ah, the GoogleBomb, a weapon for the modern age: Amazon Rank.
More info here. Although this has probably been all over your friends' list by now, basically Amazon is removing sales ranks from books with with supposed 'adult content' which means a lot of books with gay/lesbian/transgender themes (including Stephen Fry's autobiography and children's books btw), and not things like Playboy etc.
One of the scariest things is if you do a homepage search for homosexuality at the moment. That's a lot of fail Amazon has to fix, and I think they've lost a lot of people over this, deservedly.
More real-time outrage at the Twitter search page for the tag #amazonfail.

Also in unrelated news, I have signed for a Dreamwidth account via OpenID. (aworldinside.livejournal.com) and I'm keen to see where fandom goes with this, as I really like the idea of what they're doing. I haven't quite decided what I'm doing at this stage.
