owlbeerRang the parents before and had a talk with them about the London thing. Both seemed happy for me, and Mum had mentioned in an email that Dad had been worried about me going this year, but after talking for a bit he said I seem to have everything under control. My Dad is very cautious by nature, so I was happier than I'd like to admit that he said that. Was really nice to chat to them actually. Looking forward to going down in a month for Dad's 50th.
The Wire continues to be awesome, especially the last three eps (3x08-3x10), I think Season Three is shaping up to my favourite season so far.
OMG Stringer and Avon. I can't quite believe Stringer called the cops, but I get why he did, he needs to protect his investment, but I think selling Avon out after the thing with D is going to come back to bite him, hard. I loved their confrontation at the end of 'Moral Midgetry' how they were both weak in different ways. So well done and good tension built up throughout.
Colvin in awesome. Loved the exit out of Burrell's office. He's definitely one of my favourites this season.
Loved how they tied Cutty through the Reverend to Marla and the political story-line and also to Carver. Also loving Carver this season. I've always liked him, but this season he's really developed some depth. Awesome.

Oh, also, if Lester dies ... fuck, dude, I don't know what I'll do, I love that guy.
Now, one more before bed I think, before my flatmate catches me up, he's only a disc behind me at the moment.
Thought there was something else I meant to mention. Saw Wolverine (better than X3, but still not amazing), going to try and type up thoughts a little more formally, I think, just because I feel like it.
Oh, also seem to have developed a small NHL thing due to all the talk on Twitter and LJ. WTF Boston? Haven't got a team, but Ovie is damn cool and am already predisposed to not liking Sidney Crosby.
