22. How the fuck did that happen?

owlbeerI'm ringning in my birthday with; water, chocolate chip cookies, H/D fic (I know, it's weird) and the Monaco GP (Jenson commentating, w00t. When did I become such a fan? Also, Red Bull pit crew are wearing Storm Trooper helmets. *dies*) I thought about opening one of the cans of beer in the fridge but I'm not really feeling quite that pensive.
I have to work at 11:30. Damn, I wish I'd said no to that shift. If I'd known I could hang out with Dad and go and see Revenge of the Sith today, I would have totally said I couldn't work. *sighs* I've pondered calling in sick, but I don't think guilt is really what I need today.
Also, I have to make the final call on which restaurant to go to on Friday night. Santorini's? (Greek) Sala Sala? (Japanese) Or something else entirely? I'm leaning towards Japanese, because mmm Japanese food, but it's not exactly to everyone's tastes. It's my birthday dinner, sure, but I don't want anyone to hate it.
I need to get better at making decisions.
I also need to stop thinking so much about living up to other people's expectations and caring about what they think.
I need to stop being scared.
Things need to change. Yes, they do.
