another birthday gone

So after the pensive ramblings of this morning, I actually had a pretty good day. Despite getting called into work nearly 2 hours early.

My birthday included; nice happy birthday text messages, a hug from a chef, three people singing me happy birthday at work (even though I hide every time someone sings it to me), a gorgeous scarf my aunt made, Muse's 'Absolution' (wonderful album) and some really good marinated chicken and pumpkin fettucini; among other things.

Also, I am now the proud owner of Darth Tater! You've got to love your parents when they scour three stores looking for a pre-school toy for their 22 year-old daughter.

I'm going to a Greek resturant for my birthday dinner on Friday. Decision made. Text messages sent.

My next day without work is Sunday. *sighs* Nine days straight. -_-

* I've watched two season finales in the last three days (Battlestar Galactica - even though I have seen none of the other episodes - and Nip/Tuck - which joins Lost in the catergory of 'shows I mostly enjoy but am not totally obsessed with' ) and both of them left me reeling. There might be something to be said for this spoiler free thing. Hmmm.

* I am totally watching the British reality show What the Butler Saw just because I have a crush on the blonde maid, Sam. She's adorable.

* I re-watched 'Evidence of Things Not Seen' tonight as well, because I felt like it. Donna is so cute and I still think Matthew Perry did a damn fine job. Toby with the lollipop is just wonderful. *feels TWW, Richard Schiff and Toby/CJ love all over again* <3!

* Random Link: A Stargate Primer. Written by katie_m and intended for Farscape fans but it's accessible by pretty much anyone. Hilarious and made me want wish I had some Stargate DVDs. I'm pretty sure it's been around for a while but I stumbled along it yesterday and loved it.

I love this mood icon. I shall never be 'tired' and always 'sleepy'.
