I had a job interview today (for a job I actually want even) and I think it went okay? But it's hard to tell? I won't hear back till Monday, so in the meantime I keep applying and hoping. Ugh.

*sigh*
There a bits of the show I don't mind - and I must say the rhythm of the Sorkin dialogue was much better in 1.02 - but holy shit are there moments that have me saying 'seriously?!' at quite some volume. It's *very* uneven.
The one thing I do unequivocally love about the show: drunk Sam Waterson. Even if I still hear his voice as Jack McCoy ... he can stay. In fact, when this show inevitably tanks, can we find another show for Charlie to be on?
Also the premise of the show sort of bugs me – setting it in the recent past and using real life events. Like he’s saying that this was a way to do it better? What if there was a network that did it like this? I ugh … maybe it’s the way it’s handled but it just feels like Sorkin’s lecturing in a very blatant way. I know he gets a bit preachy - I've watched about three quarters of this tv/movies - but this almost seems a step too far.
I liked Mackenzie in 1.01 but WTF was 1.02?! Like ... that email subplot was awful and obvious (and probably sexist) and the scene with the Blackberry and ranting at Will was just ... painful (and also sexist). Ugh. I cannot state how little I care about Will and Mackenzie.
I want to like Jim, and I feel he's getting better? He's kinda cute?
I also want to like Maggie but the way she's being written is making that difficult - like I get neurotic, I like neurotic characters but um, Sorkin is going a bit too far down that road for me with Maggie. I want better for you, Alison Pill.
I also may owe Olivia Munn an apology. She was pretty damn good in her scene.
Will, I liked better in 1x02 but I still don't really enjoy the character at all.
... also it could be that I watched that Sorkinisms supercut recently and that the subject matter is similar to Sportnight but he seems like Aaron is recycling even more than usual. The distracted by a bumblebee line from Mackenzie? The in or out speech? Both seemed veeeery familiar.
I know when I watched the whole of season 1 (oh that long week and half ago) I was adamant that Harvey/Donna had to be platonic, but after 2.02 and that awesomely played scene between Donna and Mike, now I want to know allll the backstory. I think you're supposed to think Harvey let her down gently but I'm not entirely sure that's true. I'd love it if Donna was the one to call it off ... anyway I'm quite intrigued by it all and the preview for 2.04 had me even more interested. What does Donna find?
Harvey needs to make up with Jessica. I don't like it when they fight. Harvey seems a little extra dick-ish but it works for him I guess. Hardman is probably helping.
I continue to not really care about Mike/Rachel - but I did like that Rachel's big change was to sit the LSATs. Go her. Also loved the scene with her and Donna in the bar. "I'm a rabbi" was awesomely delivered. "I'm a professor ... of law," was pretty great too.
Harvey and Louis's scene was kinda great. I had ... Louis feelings, what? Also Gabriel Macht, please smile like that all the time Thanks! <3
It was rushed, and I didn't realise they didn't know they were getting a second season when they made it. So I get why they wrapped things up the way they did. Incredible exposition dump about Aman though. I like that he had a back story but that took a lot of time.
Lost it a little when I saw Aman had the Airbenders. Not okay. But they were rescued and continued to be awesome. "Prison Break" oh Meelo. <3
Iroh II was so great. Flying, snarking, getting tied up with Bolin is pretty ways (would so read it), getting rescued by Korra in pretty ways (would maybe read it). Loved him. There's a surprise. And Grandson. Yes. Thank you for that, show.
I'd like more of Bumi. So much more of Bumi. Awesome entrance.
Also, the person on Tumblr who called pretty much all the season from Jakon's sons through to Korra losing her bending? Well fucking done.

I didn't talk about the Jordan Staal trade on here but just assume there were a lot of feelings, okay?
UFA season is interesting. Zach Parise and Ryan Suter better have made decisions when I wake up.
This gif is amusing the hell out of me. Cam Ward, what is your face?
