I liked the episode (yes only liked, I am totally suffering from Moffat Fatigue), but I adored Martin Freeman. The Good Wife was a fun episode, but I am very interested to see how the long-game plays out.

Today was a work-day that needed beer afterwards. *sigh* People.

Random link: This might be my favourite Animals Talking in All Caps post.

comments

I started watching it in the UK and just never got around to finishing 1.03 - so I did that and then watched the new one.

( Thoughts )

--

Yuletide reveal! I wrote three things this year.

My original assignment was:

Been Holding Out So Long (1835 words) by aworldinside
Fandom: State of Play (TV)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Cal McCaffrey/Della Smith
Characters: Cal McCaffrey, Della Smith, Dan Foster, Cameron Foster
Summary: Despite Cameron's protestations to the contrary, people did actually miss Cal.

I quite like how this came out. I think my Cal/Della feelings a bit odd within the small fandom, but I think this was subtle enough. I especially liked writing Cameron.

Thanks so much to stickmarionette for looking over this for me. <3

My pinch hit was:

Forces de la nature (1012 words) by aworldinside
Fandom: A Place of Greater Safety - Hilary Mantel
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Camille Desmoulins/Comte de Mirabeau
Summary: He was a force of nature - not unlike Camille himself - even if sometimes it was the nature of quite some different place altogether.

This I admit, was a bit harder to write but I eventually settled on something (just sneaking in under the deadline) that I think worked out okay. Camille <3

And I also wrote a small treat:

Super(hero)nanny (300 words) by aworldinside
Fandom: The Avengers (2012)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Phil Coulson
Summary: Agent Coulson tries to have a night off. The operative word there being 'tries.'

--

I've been in a weird mood all day. I've had the flat to myself since the 31st which on the whole has been awesome, but I also started missing having people around. But then at the same time people on the internet were really annoying me (just in general, no one on LJ) and I didn't feel I would be the best company either. So I sat on the balcony in the sunshine reading a history book and getting a little sunburnt. Things could have been worse. ;)

I have to go to work tomorrow. *sigh*

comments

My day could have been better (although there was Guitar Hero at the end - "Plug in Baby" is hard to play, dude), so I move on to fannish ramblings.

1. ( Thoughts on some recent interviews with the Fringe cast - spoilery for S3 )

I have a Peter and Tony Stark (potentially Peter/Tony Stark) fic idea rattling around my brain. Mmm. Also, a possible fanmix. No vid ideas yet, but I would say give it time. ;)

2. ( Joshua Jackson did Daily Show interviews in the early 2000's - I don't think it would be exaggerating to say these were extremely relevant to my interests )

Also, I mentioned that this crush could only get worse if I learned he played the piano in that episode of Fringe. Apparently, he motherfucking did. I give up. Seriously.

I will not watch actual episodes of Dawson's Creek as a result of this. No. Clips, yes. Bad horror movies Josh has been in, maybe, but Dawson is far too irritating.

3. I watched the first two episodes of Sherlock ... and I liked it, mostly. The first one was good, and I loved Martin Freeman as Watson but the second one dragged badly. I was going to put off the third one, but having seen so many posts about it on my flist of a !!! variety, I might bump it up the list of watching priorities.

4. Still have Mad Men to watch. True Blood, I know what happens, and still eh. I'm sure curiosity will get the better of me, but at the moment, there are other things that I'd rather watch. <strike>Like a ridiculous amount of Josh Jackson clips on YouTube</strike>.

5. I also really want to see Batman: Under the Red Hood. The trailer looked interesting.

6. Still haven't seen Toy Story 3. Must rectify.

Haha, oh god, I meant to go to bed early.

comments
